COLLAPSE RESCUE TRAILER
SPRINGDALE FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Springdale Fire Department recently acquired a trailer, previously operated by the Washington County Dept. of Emergency Management, dedicated to containing equipment and materials for collapsed structures and trench rescues. This includes lumber, trench panels, and tools that first responders use to support unstable structures or areas in the event of a trapped victim.
The trailer was wrapped in Springdale's bright yellow and blue color scheme and today, members of the department's technical rescue team worked to equip the trailer in preparation for its future service. It will be towed by one of the department's utility trucks in the event of an emergency and is housed at Station 1.
